What is the best book to interpret dreams and dream meanings?

Posted by admin on 2nd, 2009

WEll i want to know what my dreams mean and i really want to find out but i need a book to find out. So i need the best dream interpreting book.

You are the best interpreter of your dreams. Spirit speaks to you in symbols that you can understand and symbols that relate to you, symbols that have meaning for you. A book will never get you there. In fact, a book of dream meanings will just confuse you, because the symbols in your dreams are personal to you. The best way to unlock the secrets of your dreams is to keep a dream journal. Not every dream is a message. Significant dreams to put down in your journal will have a particular feel, vibrant colors, or strong emotion attached to them. These are the dreams you want to track. It can take years to develop and truly understand your dreams, but eventually you will learn the language of your soul, and you will be glad you ignored the book, because the language of your soul is quite beautiful and it promises to be rewarding. You can also ask your Spirit Guide to appear in a dream, give you a name, and offer help. There is a two-part video series at http://www.thezenfrog.com about Spirit Guides in dreams. Just log in and access CassyThrowsCards page to view the videos.

What are some recent studies that show dreams have an underlying meaning?

Posted by admin on 30th, 2009

I’m writing an essay and I’m trying to prove a point that dreams have an underlying meaning. So far I’ve talked about how several past cultures believe that dreams have an underlying meaning. To further prove my point, I want to talk about people that have recently studied dreams and believe they have an underlying meaning, not that they are just images and thoughts. Preferably 1830’s and up, who are some people that have studied this?

Most studies are about how we sleep and not as much as to how we dream. I am uncertain where you could even go to and find a study like that

How can I remember my dreams? How can I have good dreams instead of nightmares?

Posted by admin on 28th, 2009

I have a hard time remembering my dreams and I’d like them to be more positive most of the time. They’re not necessarily nightmares they’re just really great.

If you are sleeping soundly you really aren’t supposed to remember your dreams. They are usually sorting and processing the day you have just had; getting you ready to reset and enjoy tomorrow.
Nightmares are usually associated with a traumatic event. However, with TV, caffeine and sugar the mind is often processing a multitude of other extraneous thoughts.
You can remember a dream if you are woken in the middle of a dream session.

How is it possible to learn educational things from dreams?

Posted by admin on 23rd, 2009

have had dreams in which i learn things. educational things.
Like for example in my dream someone would say something i don’t know the meaning to. so i wouldask in my dream and i would learn the meaning of the word. when i wake up i’d ask someone else adn the meanings would be the same. how is it possible that i am learning from my dreams? or that i can understand other languages?
I learn meanings of words.
I’d be able to understand different languages. when i wake up i’d remember some of these words and ask for translation. the meanings would be correct.

im looking for a meaning too, dreams to me are like different dimensions, like as if the soul travels, I’ve learned a lot of things too…
I wonder if its because its in our subconcious….they say its collaborations of our day, but i believe its deeper than that.

How do you make your dreams more pleasant?

Posted by admin on 21st, 2009

I always seem to have the most disturbing and frightening dreams. Sometimes I get sleep paralysis (where I’m fully awake and can’t move) and I hear threatening voices. How do I stop this from happening? How do I acheive blissful dreams?

Dreams are a way your mind deals with your inner most thoughts and bad ones can be triggered by psych medications such as Prozac and Paxil. There is really no effective way to trigger more pleasant dreams, or someone would be selling it and making a fortune. You may have some unresolved fears, or be a fearful person who is constantly dealing with ruminations while you are awake. Ruminations are thoughts about situations you can not possibly solve, but you think about them over and over, almost obsessively, desperately trying to find a solution. Usually these situations resolve themselves favorably, and all that psychic energy you used worrying about them was wasted. Sleep paralysis is a recognized dysfunction and a true sleep disorders physician may be able to help you with this. Whatever happens please seek professional help, and do not play all these silly games where you try all these home made remedies trying to solve something you truly do not understand. I hope it works out for you.

How could dreams be random firings of neurons when they tell a story?

Posted by admin on 18th, 2009

They form a storyline and make connections in the brain- sometimes they make sense. If it was just random firings of neurons then wouldn’t it just be flashes of random things and not connect in any way?

Some dreams are like that but what about the ones that piece together a story?

Have you ever "free written", where you just write what ever comes to mind for a short period of say 2 minutes or even 10 minutes if you are familiar with the process?

You just let your mind wander and write whatever comes to it.

That is what your subconscious mind is doing, just "free writing". Perhaps it is picking up on subjects that concern you, topical subjects, or maybe they are metaphors. Or maybe they are nothing but "free writing".

Paul McCartney woke in the middle of the night with the song "Yesterday" almost completely written by his subconscious mind while he slept. It became the biggest selling song in history because thousands of people have recorded it in every language over the last 40 years. Some people keep notebooks next to their bed, and when they wake up, they write down whatever they can remember, because they know the subconscious mind is not random at all. It may not make sense until you can put things together. As I said, it may be entirely metaphorical.

But it certainly is not random.

What causes all the senarios in my dreams?

Posted by admin on 18th, 2009

What generates the senarios in my dreams? The people in my dreams, the things they say, the things they do, the things that happen? What makes it all happen? If my subconsciousness created the dream and all the people in it, and my subconsciousness controlled what the people would say in my dream, doesn’t it mean my subconsciousness is a personality in itself?

We learn much about ourselves and others in dream-time. Mostly dream interpreters say that others you see in your dream are reflections of your own personality.

You are also able to work out subconscious disarray in your dreams, and sometimes find solutions to your waking life problems. Everything in life is a lesson, so too are your dreams trying to teach you lessons.

I starting writing down my dreams and have discovered that a lot of what is going on with me in my waking life is represented in my dreams.

Your subconsciousness is an aspect of you just as your ego is an aspect of your consciousness. Your higher self is more prominent in your dreams because when you dream you are in a different dimension so contact is easier, but that is also why we don’t remember some of our dreams…we aren’t ready yet, but our higher self is working with your ’self’ at all levels at all times and working with you in your dreams is just one way of reaching you :)

That is my understanding at least.

How do i have sweet dreams instead of poopy ones?

Posted by admin on 15th, 2009

I want to have dreams of sweet peas and honey-suckles! I always end up having dreams about harsh bunnies and spongebob’s under garments… I want to dream like im a pina colata!
How do i do that?

Well there is a thing called lucid dreaming that you can train yourself to do… If you are dreaming and you are aware that you are dreaming you can control things. Thus making a pina colata appear! >;]
Here are some sites for beginning to lucid dream:

What happens when your dreams become reality?

Posted by admin on 12th, 2009

Recently my dreams are become scary. I had a dream last week about crashing into a red car, and in the same dream I dreamt about a dead baby at the side of the bathtub. Weird or what, that was on the Friday night on Saturday when I was coming home from work I saw a car crash involving a red car as I was turning right, in the dream I was turning right too. On Sunday I was watching Trial and retribution and what comes up only a story line about a baby drowned. There are lot more dreams but these freaked me out the most.
Can anyone tell me why I have started to dream like this now?

you are psychic like me. develop your 6th sense and reprogram yourself to think positively. I know this can be hard, as there is a lot of wrongdoing in the world. Everyone has a psychic sense, it just needs to be awakened. So now, you’ll need to remember these negative images that you saw can be taken as some form of message from the spirit world. Next time you have a bad dream or thought like that at any time, watch out, and try to do anything you can to prevent it happening. The psychic world is a hard world to get your head round, but develop your powers. You’ll be glad you did. May I recommend reading a book by Derek Acorah?

What are dreams and why do they differ so much from normal thought? Why are they like movies? And why do we think we are really there as they are happening?

What are dreams?

and we still don’t know…
